Boston, MA — Christians and Jews United for Israel (CJUI) rejoices and gives thanks to God for today’s release of IDF soldier Edan Alexander, an American-Israeli who had been held hostage by the Hamas terrorist organization since October 7, 2023. His freedom, confirmed by the IDF on Monday, marks a deeply emotional moment for the American and Israeli people and all who cherish justice and human dignity.
Alexander, who grew up in New Jersey, was one of several young IDF soldiers kidnapped during Hamas’s brutal October 7 massacre. His release comes after more than seven months in captivity in Gaza and amid ongoing international efforts to secure the return of all hostages.
CJUI reiterates its unwavering support for the State of Israel and calls on the international community to exert maximum pressure on Hamas and its backers in Iran to release all remaining hostages immediately and unconditionally.
