🇮🇱 Standing for Truth: Israel, Humanitarian Aid, and the Misrepresentation by President Macron

At Christians and Jews United for Israel, we are committed to truth, justice, and unwavering support for the people and state of Israel. In light of recent accusations made by French President Emmanuel Macron regarding Gaza and Israeli aid policy, it is crucial to set the record straight and expose the political rhetoric distorting the facts on the ground.

🚫 A Dangerous Falsehood: The “Humanitarian Blockade” Lie

President Macron recently claimed that Israel is enforcing a “humanitarian blockade” on Gaza, even going so far as to warn of potential sanctions. These inflammatory remarks ignore both the reality on the ground and Israel’s ongoing efforts to ensure humanitarian aid reaches innocent civilians — not the hands of terrorists.

In response, Israel’s Foreign Ministry rightly stated:

“There is no humanitarian blockade. That is a blatant lie.”

Nearly 900 aid trucks have entered Gaza in the past week alone. Supplies are being distributed through the U.S.-backed Gaza Humanitarian Foundation, which bypasses Hamas entirely — a necessary step to ensure that aid is not diverted to fuel terrorism.

🇮🇱 Israel’s Moral Commitment to Human Life

Israel faces a complex and heartbreaking reality: protecting its own citizens from Hamas’ genocidal aggression while striving to minimize harm to civilians caught in the crossfire. The idea that the Jewish state — founded on the values of life, justice, and ethical warfare — would deliberately block aid is not only unfounded, it is offensive.

Aid is entering Gaza. Hospitals are receiving supplies. Children are being fed. Israel has facilitated this, not hindered it.

🛑 Macron’s Sanction Threat: Rewarding Terror, Not Promoting Peace

By threatening sanctions and speaking of recognizing a Palestinian state amid active conflict, Macron is not promoting peace — he is incentivizing terrorism. Hamas, a U.S.-designated terrorist organization, welcomed Macron’s statements, highlighting just how misguided they are.

As Israel’s Foreign Ministry pointed out:

“Instead of pressuring jihadist terrorists, Macron wants to reward them with a Palestinian state.”

Such political posturing not only endangers Israel but undermines efforts for a lasting and secure peace.

✡️✝️ Our Call as Christians and Jews

We call on our fellow believers — Christian and Jewish — to:

  1. Speak boldly against misinformation that targets Israel.
  2. Pray for the peace of Jerusalem (Psalm 122:6) and the innocent lives on all sides.
  3. Stand firm with the only democracy in the Middle East that values life, liberty, and truth.

President Macron may have chosen to side with propaganda. But we choose to stand with Israel, with truth, and with the God who calls us to be watchmen on the walls (Isaiah 62:6).
