Our History

Christians and Jews United for Israel was formed in Massachusetts in 2006. CJUI is a multi-denominational constituency of people providing factual information to the community in support of Israel and her people.

We live in a world that is increasingly anti-Israel, anti-Semitic, and anti-Christian… a time when moral clarity and righteousness are an endangered species. Yet, in these difficult times CJUI is building a bridge of common decency and purpose, with clarity, courage and determination.

CJUI is uniquely positioned to bring Christian and Jewish volunteers and resources together to take concrete actions in support of Israel, the national and biblical homeland for Jews. CJUI takes a leadership role in the fight to counter lies and misinformation about Israel and the Arab-Israeli conflict.

Refusing to ignore the winds of evil, we stand up to defend liberty and the freedom to exercise our faith in America and throughout the world. All the while we are seeing local pastors and rabbis and Christians and Jews coming together in common purpose, strengthening our mutual bond of trust and friendship. It is truly a miracle that must keep multiplying!

Our Mission

CJUI's members, officers, steering committee and advisory board include many prominent Christian and Jewish community leaders, activists and clergy who are concerned about Israel’s security, welfare, future and treatment by the media.CJUI  is making a difference. We are defending Israel against some of the most virulent anti-Israel groups. We are demonstrating that these groups are more easily defeated when confronted by both Christian and Jewish activists.More and more individuals and organizations are recognizing that passivity in the face of assault will lead to a worsening situation.  Led by their consciences and biblical convictions, both Christians and Jews are welcoming a first ever opportunity to embrace one another and share their common love for Israel in an active way.

  • Unite Christian and Jewish activists in material and spiritual support of a strong Israel.
  • Create an effective alert system to mobilize community opposition to anti-Israel events and initiatives.
  • Promote dialogue between Christian and Jewish leaders for the benefit of Israel.

  • Present speakers at churches, synagogues, and community centers to address  Israeli-Palestinian issues.
  • Join with other like-minded Christian-Jewish groups in support of  Israel.
  • Create outreach to churches targeted by anti-Israel forces.
  • Maintain a website to disseminate current and accurate information about Israel.
  • Participate in demonstrations countering  anti-Israel programs

CJUI Pledge

  • We will stand with Israel as she defends her right to be a sovereign Jewish state with defensible borders living in peace with her neighbors.
  • We recognize United Jerusalem as the eternal capital of Israel and support the development of the communities in Judea and Samaria, the biblical heartland of Israel.
  • We will fight against anti-Semitic, anti-Israel, anti-Christian activities - in education, geo-politics, and in the culture.
  • We will not remain silent as Israel and the United States are undermined, threatened, and attacked by those who seek to manipulate history, deny the truth, dismantle the foundations and destroy the values that have made our nations free and prosperous.

The Faces of Zionism

May Long

Founder CJUI

"I am a Zionist because Israel is my history, the land of my people. Israel continues to be the safe haven for persecuted Jews forced to flee anti-Semitism worldwide.  Israel is freedom, a light unto the nations. Stand with me to fight for Israel’s security and survival."

Ray Hanna

President CJUI

"As a Christian, my faith rests on the God of Israel and His holy scriptures, which clearly state that the Land and people of Israel are inseparable. It is my joy to stand with our Jewish neighbors in support of Israel and of our Judeo-Christian values."

Larry and Beverly Koplan

Vice Presidents CJUI

"Larry and Bev Koplan's dedication, love, and support for Israel are hallmarks of this extraordinary couple."

Helga Lustig

CJUI Board Member

“As a child survivor of the Holocaust my life has been profoundly defined by the persecution of the Jewish people. The rebirth of the Jewish State of Israel as an idealistic democratic country, and as a haven for Jews compels my support. With enthusiasm, I joined CJUI in the fight to preserve Judeo-Christian democratic values because the defense of these values is the defense of Israel.”

Denette Abers

Former CJUI Board Member

"Loving the people and land of Israel has nothing to do with being blessed if I bless Israel, and nothing nothing to do with end time scenarios. It has everything to do with Israel being the apple of God's eye. As I behold Him He continues to create in me the same undying love He has for His people."

Margot Einstein

CJUI Board Member

"Zionism is the marrow of my bones, the blood of life that pulses through my veins."
